Taxonomy
Pappictidops acies was named by Wang (1978). Its type specimen is IVPP V5232, a partial skull (Upper and lower jaws), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Jintang Village, which is in a Paleocene terrestrial horizon in the Shanghu Formation of China.
