Taxonomy
Rhipidia (Rhipidia) mira was named by Podenas and Poinar (1999). Its type specimen is Poinar D-7-200, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Dominican amber (Poinar coll), which is in a Burdigalian/Langhian terrestrial amber in the Dominican Republic.
