Taxonomy
Geometridites repens was named by Kernbach (1967). Its type specimen is GPUG 11499, a nymph (larva), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Willershausen clay pit (GZG collection), which is in a Piacenzian pond marl in Germany. It is the type species of Geometridites.
