Taxonomy
Forcipomyia (Lepidohelea) chrysosuccinea was named by Szadziewski and Grogan (1998). Its type specimen is AMNH DR-6-35, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Dominican amber, El Valle locality (AMNH collection), which is in a Burdigalian/Langhian terrestrial amber in the Yanigua Formation of the Dominican Republic.
