Taxonomy
Forcipomyia (Euprojoannisia) berendti was named by Szadziewski (1988). Its type specimen is MfN MBI 124, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic Amber, Berendt collection, which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in Poland.
It was recombined as Forcipomyia berendti by Szadziewski (2018).
