Taxonomy
Dasyhelea (Sebessia) dominicana was named by Szadziewski and Grogan (1998). Its type specimen is FSCA 650, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Dominican amber (Florida State Collection of Arthropods), which is in a Burdigalian/Langhian terrestrial amber in the Dominican Republic.
It was recombined as Dasyhelea dominicana by Borkent (2013), Szadziewski (2018), Borkent and Dominiak (2020).
