Diagnosis
ReferenceDiagnosis
N. L. Nasif et al. 2000Mandible with high coronoid apophysis, clearly surpassing the level of the condyle; post coronoid concavity deeper than in Mixotoxodon larensis van Frank; coronoid apophyses convergent as in Posnanskytherium Liendo; symphysis with a median labial keel, more proximally placed than in Xotodon species; symphysis and lower incisors more vertically placed than in Mixotoxodon larensis and similar to Xotodon species; I1 section kidney-shaped with a median lingual groove, as in Adinotherium ovinum (Owen) Ameghino; p2–p4 with smooth labial groove as in Xotodon species, Trigodon gaudryi Ameghino, and Hoffstetterius imperator Saint-Andre ́; meta-entoconid fold of m1–m2 marked as in Xotodon species and different to Mixotoxodon larensis; meta-entoconid fold of m3 smooth, as in Hoffstetterius imperator; length of p2–p4 less than 50% of the molar length as in Trigodon gaudryi, Palyei- dodon obtusum Roth, and Hoffstetterius imperator.
