Mazateronodon endemicus
Taxonomy
Mazateronodon endemicus was named by Marigó et al. (2010). Its type specimen is IPS46238, a mandible (Left mandible fragment with complete lower canine, alveolus for P2, and complete P3 and P4), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Mazaterón, which is in a Bartonian lacustrine marl/sandstone in the Mazaterón Formation of Spain. It is the type species of Mazateronodon.
