Taxonomy
Cacopsylla popovi was named by Klimaszewski (1993). Its type specimen is PIN 4204/3, a forewing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is 3-5 km from Jurkino (PIN collection 4204), which is in a Miocene deep-water siliciclastic in the Argun Formation of Ukraine.
