Taxonomy
Penthetria fuchsi was named by Handlirsch (1907). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Kumi, which is in a Burdigalian lacustrine - large limestone in Greece.

It was replaced with Penthetria marinosi by Bachmayer et al. (1971).
