Helius weigandi

Taxonomy
Elephantomyia weigandi was named by Statz (1934). Its type specimen is LACMIP 3771, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Rott (Statz Collection), which is in a Chattian lacustrine - small shale in the Rott Formation of Germany.

It was recombined as Helius weigandi by Krzemiński (1993) and Kania et al. (2013).
