Taxonomy
Triatriopollenites bertelsii was named by Archangelsky (1973). It is not extant. It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is Holotype: p.m. 1015; coord. 28.9/96.2. Stored at Museo de La Plata, Paleobotanical division., a microspore (Pollen grain). Its type locality is Cerro Bororó, which is in a Danian terrestrial horizon in the Cerro Bororó Formation of Argentina.

Archangelsky 1973Grano oblado, de contorno ecuatorial triangular de lados cóncavos y ángulos redondeados. Exina compuesta por dos capas fusionadas, visibles, de hasta 1.8.µ de espesor, interna igual a la externa. Poros en los ángulos, en forma de pequeña abertura. Atrium desarrollado con un endoporo marcadamente mayor al exoporo. Exina uniformemente scabrada.
