Ceraphron ceuthonymus was named by Engel (2013). Its type specimen is SEMC-F001022, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Dominican amber (SEMC coll), which is in a Burdigalian/Langhian terrestrial amber in the Dominican Republic.
