Taxonomy
Stigmellites serpentina was named by Kozlov (1988). Its type specimen is PIN 2383/205, an other (leaf mine), and it is a trace fossil. Its type locality is Kzyl-Zhar Locality (PIN collection 2383), which is in a Turonian pond mudstone in Kazakhstan.
