Taxonomy
Sciara heydeni was named by Meunier (1917). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Rott (Bauckhorn coll), which is in a MP 30 lacustrine - large lignite in Germany.
It was recombined as Lycoria heydeni by Statz (1944).
