Rhynchippus brasiliensis
Taxonomy
Rhynchippus brasiliensis was named by Soria and Alvarenga (1989) [Hypodigm: DGM 1092-M (type) and DGM 1096-M (right P4 (?))]. Its type specimen is DGM 1092-M, a mandible (Left mandible fragment with the talonid of m2 and complete m3), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Fazenda Santa Fe, which is in a Deseadan lacustrine shale/claystone in Brazil.
