Culicoides brisaci
Taxonomy
Devalquia brisaci was named by Choufani and Nel (2013). Its type specimen is IGR.PLC-1, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Piolenc amber, which is in a Santonian terrestrial amber in France.
It was recombined as Culicoides brisaci by Szadziewski et al. (2016), Szadziewski (2018) and Borkent and Dominiak (2020).
