Taxonomy
Cancerococcus apterus was named by Koteja (1988). It is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Danish Amber (University of Copenhagen ZMUC, NHMD Collection), which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in Denmark. It is the type species of Cancerococcus.
