Taxonomy
Spinitingis ellenbergeri was named by Heiss and Guilbert (2013). Its type specimen is Heiss BUB-Ting-1, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Burmese amber (Heiss Tiroler Landesmuseum coll), which is in a Cenomanian terrestrial amber in Myanmar. It is the type species of Spinitingis.
