Taxonomy
Cubacyon transversidens was named by Arredondo and Varona (1974). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cueva del Túnel, La Salud, which is in a Pleistocene/Holocene cave horizon in Cuba. It is the type species of Cubacyon.
