Taxonomy
Hypoclinea geinitzi was named by Mayr (1868).

It was recombined as Iridomyrmex geinitzi by Theobald (1937), Spahr (1987), Shattuck (1992), Dlussky (2002); it was recombined as Anonychomyrma geinitzi by Heterick and Shattuck (2011); it was recombined as Yantaromyrmex geinitzi by Dlussky and Dubovikoff (2013).
