Taxonomy
Ceratopogon remmicolus was named by Szadziewski (1988). Its type specimen is MZW 15788, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic Amber (Museum Ziemi collection), which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in Poland.
It was corrected as Ceratopogon remmicola by Borkent and Wirth (1997), Borkent (2013), Borkent and Dominiak (2020).
