Taxonomy
Shelopuga sinitsae was named by Popov (1988). Its type specimen is PIN 3920/246, an exoskeleton, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Bolboy Locality, outcrop 100 (PIN Collection 3920), which is in a Tithonian terrestrial siliciclastic in the Byankino Formation of the Russian Federation.
