Penthetria immutabilis

Taxonomy
Hesperinus immutabilis was named by Melander (1949). Its type specimen is USNM 112554, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Florissant (USNM Collection), which is in a Chadronian lacustrine - large shale in the Florissant Formation of Colorado.

It was recombined as Plecia immutabilis by Fitzgerald (1999); it was recombined as Penthetria immutabilis by Skartveit (2009).
