Taxonomy
Expansaphis laticosta was named by Hong and Wang (1990). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is 84GTN4, Nanligezhuang, Tuanwang Town, Laiyang City, which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large shale in the Laiyang Formation of China.
