Panorpidium magna

Taxonomy

Elcana magna was named by Handlirsch (1906). Its type specimen is MBI 6.1ab, a forewing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Dobbertin (Naturkundemuseum Coll.), which is in a Toarcian offshore claystone in Germany.

It was recombined as Panorpidium magna by Eades et al. (2012).

Synonyms

Elcana bodei was named by Handlirsch (1939).

It was synonymized subjectively with Elcana magna by Zessin (1987).
Elcana gravida was named by Handlirsch (1939). Its type specimen is MBI 54.1, an exoskeleton (female body), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Dobbertin (Naturkundemuseum Coll.), which is in a Toarcian offshore claystone in Germany.

It was synonymized subjectively with Elcana magna by Zessin (1987).
Calotermes obtectus was named by Heer (1864). It is an impression. Its type locality is Insektenmergel, Schambelen, Aargau, which is in an Angulata offshore claystone in the Insektenmergel Formation of Switzerland.

It was recombined as Elcana obtecta by Handlirsch (1906) and Handlirsch (1906); it was synonymized subjectively with Elcana magna by Zessin (1987).
