Dicranomyia graciosa was named by Meunier (1916). It is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic amber, Konigsberg collection, which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in the Russian Federation.
It was recombined as Limonia graciosa by Alexander (1931); it was recombined as Dicranomyia (Dicranomyia) graciosa by Kania (2014).
