Taxonomy
Limonia (Dicranomyia) perpendicularis was named by Savchenko (1967). Its type specimen is NAS OF-1656, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic Amber (National Museum of Ukraine collection), which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in the Russian Federation.

It was recombined as Dicranomyia (Dicranomyia) perpendicularis by Kania (2014).
