Taxonomy
Aphis macrostyla was named by Heer (1853). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Radoboj (K.K. Montanistischen Collection), which is in a Sarmatian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal limestone in Croatia.
It was considered a nomen dubium by Heie (1967); it was recombined as Greenidea macrostyla by Heie and Wegierek (2011).
