Palaeopolistes jattioti

Taxonomy
Palaeopolistes jattioti was named by Perrard (2014). Its type specimen is MNHN.F.A.50409, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Alès-Monteils (MNHN Collection), which is in a Priabonian lacustrine marl/limestone in the Monteils Formation of France. It is the type species of Palaeopolistes.
