Pocononia whitei
Taxonomy
Trigonomartus whitei was named by Ewing (1930). Its type specimen is USNM 94341 and is an impression. Its type locality is Road near Lewis Tunnel, which is in a Chadian terrestrial shale in the Pocono Mountain Formation of Virginia. It is the type species of Pocononia.
It was recombined as Pocononia whitei by Petrunkevitch (1953), Dunlop (1996), Dunlop et al. (2013).
