Taxonomy
Cardium senticosum was named by Sowerby (1833). It is extant.

It was recombined as Cardium (Trachycardium) senticosum by Olsson (1942); it was recombined as Trachycardium (Dallocardia) senticosum by Moore (2003); it was recombined as Dallocardia senticosum by Coan and Valentich-Scott (2012).
