Taxonomy
Electroisops ritzkowskii was named by Herczek and Popov (1997). Its type specimen is GZG 2B74, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic Amber, Göttingen GZG collection, which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Electroisops.
