Taxonomy
Setodes aureoinclusa was named by Wichard (1995). Its type specimen is USNM 9096 ENT-I-10680, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Dominican amber (USNM Brodzinsky Lopez-Pena coll), which is in a Burdigalian/Langhian terrestrial amber in the Dominican Republic.
