Taxonomy
Metoisops kerzhneri was named by Popov and Herczek (1992). Its type specimen is MZ 14646, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic Amber (Museum Ziemi collection), which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in Poland.
