Taxonomy
Shumardia (Shumardia) angulata was named by Laurie and Shergold (1996). Its type specimen is CPC 31713, a pygidium, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Section 705/231, which is in a Bendigonian marine limestone/siltstone in the Emanuel Formation of Australia.
