Siphonophoroides gillettei

Taxonomy
Anconatus gillettei was named by Cockerell (1908). Its type specimen is UCM-4530, an exoskeleton (body with wings), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Florissant, Station 13B, which is in a Chadronian lacustrine - large shale in the Florissant Formation of Colorado.

It was recombined as Siphonophoroides gillettei by Heie (1970), Heie and Wegierek (2011).
