Taxonomy
Electrovelia baltica was named by Andersen (1998). Its type specimen is ZMUC 13-501, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Danish Amber (University of Copenhagen ZMUC, NHMD Collection), which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in Denmark. It is the type species of Electrovelia.
