Taxonomy
Sulcalydus kalabisi was named by Štys and Říha (1975). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Kelc-Strazne zapad, which is in a Rupelian offshore claystone in the Menilite Formation of the Czech Republic. It is the type species of Sulcalydus.
