Taxonomy
Helius gedanicus was named by Kania (2014). Its type specimen is SNMG 4073, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic Amber (University of Gdansk MAI collection), which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in Poland.
