Myrmecites pusillus
Taxonomy
Myrmica pusilla was named by Heer (1849). Its type specimen is NHMW 1852.XXIX.41, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Radoboj (Grätz Collection), which is in a Sarmatian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal limestone in Croatia.
It was recombined as Crematogaster pusilla by Handlirsch (1907), Bolton (2012); it was recombined as Myrmecites pusillus by Dlussky and Putyatina (2014).
