Palaeopolybia anglica

Taxonomy
Polybia anglica was named by Cockerell (1921). Its type specimen is BMNH H. 132, a forewing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Bembridge Marls (Hooley coll), which is in a Priabonian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal lime mudstone in the Bouldnor Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Palaeopolybia.

It was recombined as Palaeopolybia anglica by Antropov (2014).
