Taphopone stauropolitanus
Taxonomy
Ponerites stauropolitanus was named by Dlussky (1981). Its type specimen is PIN 224/24, a wing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Vishnevaya Balka creek, outcrop 4, Stavropol (PIN collection 224), which is in a Miocene lacustrine shale in the Russian Federation.
It was recombined as Taphopone stauropolitanus by Dlussky and Perfilieva (2014).
