Taphopone aberrans
Taxonomy
Taphopone aberrans was named by Dlussky and Perfilieva (2014). Its type specimen is BMNH In.24917, a forewing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Bembridge Marls (Hooley coll), which is in a Priabonian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal lime mudstone in the Bouldnor Formation of the United Kingdom.
