Taxonomy
Diplohelia complanata was named by Gerth (1923). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tanah Belang, Borneo, which is in a Miocene marine horizon in Indonesia.

It was recombined as Diplhelia complanata by Kiessling (2008).
