Vespa ciliata
Taxonomy
Vespa ciliata was named by Zhang et al. (1994). Its type specimen is Shandong Geological Museum K0371, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Shanwang, Linqu County, collection K0 (Shandong Geological Museum), which is in a Burdigalian lacustrine - large mudstone in the Shanwang Formation of China.
