Taxonomy
Euproteaciphyllum papillosum was named by Jordan et al. (1998) [Type locality: Early Oligocene sediments on the Lea River, north-western Tasmania.]. It is not extant. Its type specimen is Holotype: Lea1762, stored in the Department of Plant Science, University of Tasmania., a cuticle. Its type locality is Lea River, which is in an Oligocene terrestrial siltstone in Australia.
