Taxonomy
Limnobia horioni was named by Statz (1934). Its type specimen is LACMIP 3776, a wing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Rott (Statz Collection), which is in a Chattian lacustrine - small shale in the Rott Formation of Germany.
It was recombined as Limonia horioni by Evenhuis (1994).
