R. J. Carpenter et al. 2010 | Proteaceous leaf material with broad, mostly parallel-aligned, brachyparacytic stomatal complexes. Stomata large, guard cells typically greater than 50 mm long. Cuticular extensions between epidermal-cell anticlinal walls undulate to sinuous, not straight with angular junctions. Trichome bases associated with up to four epidermal cells. Venation, where known, with more or less parallel-aligned major veins and numerous higher-order interconnecting veins. |
