Bororoa andreisii

Taxonomy
Bororoa andreisii was named by Petriella (1972). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is Syntype: LP-PB 9036, 9037, 9038, a wood, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Puesto Fernández - NF Cycadales, which is in a Paleocene terrestrial sandstone in the Cerro Bororó Formation of Argentina.

B. Petriella 1972Tronco de 12,5 cm de diámetro, médula 5 cm, cilindro vascular 1,6 cm, córtex 1,7 cm, bases foliares 1,4 cm. Traqueidas de 30 (18-50) µ de diámetro tangencial, nunca seriadas. Radios primarios fusiformes sin trazas, con uno o a los sumo dos canales mucilaginosos. Radios secundarios uni y biseriados. Córtex con capas peridérmicas. Bases foliares de 1,5 x 0,7 cm con capas peridérmicas y sin fibras hipodérmicas.
